Our Pastor
Fred Lyda is the founding pastor of HopeWay Church. An ordained minister since 1982, Pastor Fred is a graduate of North Greenville University, Furman University, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a native of Greenville, SC, and has served Upstate churches in a number of capacities.
Pastor Fred finds great joy in seeing Jesus Christ change lives and is committed to a strong teaching ministry of the Word of God. He has a commitment to serve individuals in their joys and struggles in life.
He owns and operates HopeWay Enterprises, a wholesale distributorship serving Greenville County and portions of Anderson and Pickens Counties.
Pastor Fred is married to Donna Kay Lyda, also a Greenville native and Furman graduate. They make their home in Piedmont, SC.
